A slap in the face

It was a game that everything went wrong. Starting with us of course going into the game with our commitment level being much lower than usually allowing an early goal by the opposition without fighting for the ball. Also, the referee that was very favourable to the opposition was cutting all our attacks with off sides (even square passes that were clearly not off side) and also gave a corner out of nowhere to the opposition who scored their 2nd. Despite these, we managed not to lose our heads and tried to go back in the game making it 2-1 and later 3-2. However, after the 60th minutes the lack of options from the bench with our only sub used for an injury meant the team couldn't get refreshed in positions where we needed fresh legs with the opponent smartly taking advantage of this and scoring 3 goals. A slap in a face for all of us, which we will work on making sure it doesn't happen again.
