RIP Bobby Cane
Bobby joined the club in the early 80s after the school had just closed and moved to Garston. He along with his closest friend Phil Thompson and many others joined OPFC to make it the most successful eras in the clubs history. This culminated in 1988 when captaining the Reserves as they won all 4 trophies and went through the season undefeated. The previous season was also succesful in winning the AFA Intermediate Cup and the form continued such that In total it was a 76 match unbeaten record unlikely to be surpassed.
For all this though it was his character that shone through and we all have many fond and funniy memories that will live on for someone who will not be forgotten. If you ever met him you would not forget him.
RIP Bobby we will all miss you.
