Welcome to the home of Old Parmiterians Football Club (OPFC), an FA Charter Standard Adult Club.
OPFC was founded in 1898 and is a member of the Amateur Football Combination League (AFC), the Greene King Essex Veterans’ League, and is affiliated to The Amateur Football Alliance and the Essex FA. Select About Us at the top of the page to read more about the club.
From its base in Walthamstow OPFC runs 9 Saturday senior league sides, as well as four Saturday Veterans League teams for the over 35s and now three Over 45s teams. We are the largest adult club in the country with a total of 14 sides. We are always looking for good standard new players but also offer football for all abilities for players of 16 years and above.
We train on a 3G Astro surface twice a week at Douglas Eyre Sports centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.30 till 10.00pm from September through till the end of April. Pre season training will have a different schedule. Check details in the News page. New players are welcome but you should contact the Secretary first via the registration form. Details are below.

About the Club
The club is linked to three schools: Parmiters School in Garston; Trinity Catholic High School and RushCroft Sports College, where we provide football for both current students and leavers, so as to help facilitate a smooth transition into adult football.
OPFC recently had its Charter Standard Status renewed by the Football Association, a statement which demonstrates the club is well organised and set up to accommodate young players wishing to play in senior football. As a result, we have implemented some new policies. We are also putting many of our managers and players through coaching and first aid qualifications. Training is managed by Level 1, 2 and 3 coaches, to help develop the tactics and skills among players both young and mature.
OPFC is always looking for new players of a good standard in ability, sportsmanship and behaviour. We are also keen to forge new links with youth clubs, schools, and Sunday teams, to provide Saturday football for players over the age of 16 and up to Vets football, for the over 35s & 45s. If you would like to play for OPFC, please contact the Club Secretary, via the e-mail link below.
OPFC is a member of the Amateur Football Combination League (AFC), which provides well-organised football across London, for players of all abilities. With some 80 clubs and 270 teams, the AFC is the largest league in Europe. It is regionalised up to 2nd team level which cuts down the amount of travelling, thereby making it easier for most teams to play their football locally. We are also members of the Greene King Essex Veterans League where we field 4 Vets sides each week.
The AFC initiated a campaign called the Spirit of Football which aims to promote good sportsmanship, fair play and a respect for opponents and referees. The campaign also focuses on reducing violence, abuse and cheating which is sadly all too prevalent today. OPFC supports this campaign unreservedly and expects its members to do the same. Equally, OPFC also supports the similar values of the FA's Respect Programme.
