Extra time needed this time

Through to the next round in our Cup defence but only just! 7ths started the game poorly, Leyton County hardly threatened but a lot of miss placed passes was giving the ball to the opposition and stopping the 7ths creating. The 7ths went 1.0 down through pretty much Leytons only attack of the half after Old Parms failed to track a runner from a simple through ball. The 7ths managed to equalise just before half time through Harry Sach and the 1st half ended 1.1 with the 7ths not playing their best. In the 2nd half the 7ths started stronger, pressing harder and winning the ball back in good areas however went 2.1 down through a controversial penalty. The ball was crossed in from the left which come off Andy Warrys thigh but the referee judged it as a hand ball and Leyton scored from the resulting penalty to make it 2.1. Old Parms were pushing hard for the equaliser and with 20 minutes to go Sonny Baldwin was pushed up front and the 7ths switched to two up top. The change seemed to work and the 7ths were finding more space on the wings and were creating more chances. The 7ths had a chance to equalise when Sonny turned well in the box and was brought down however the penalty was missed. With 2 minutes to go the equaliser finally came when Ciaran Foster put a low cross in from the right which was turned in at the near post by Sonny to make it 2.2 and take the game in to extra time. In extra time the 7ths looked far fitter and pushed for the winner early. In the first half of extra time Callum Fitzgibbon made it 3.2 with a cross shot across the box which came of the Leyton defender to make it 3.2 and Mike Diebelius continued his goal scoring to make it 4.2 with a good near post finish. Finally in the 2nd half of extra time Harry Sach turned in Elliot Josephs cross after a good run from Elliott. The final whistle blew and the 7ths are through to the next round with a 5.2 win in extra time.
