Great start to the season continues

First of all a big thank you for all the players who got stuck in traffic but managed to get there for a good result. After a delayed kick off due to players stuck in traffic on the a406, the 7ths started the first half with the bare 11 with manager Emir Mehmet playing at RB. Despite the difficult journey for a lot of the players and no warm up, the 7ths were the far better side and started strongly with first half goals from Harry Sach, Mike Diebelius, Vullnet Beqa and Kemston Allen. Just before the end of the first half the 7ths were a little disappointed to concede a sloppy goal after some poor defending and weak challenges. Overall though the 7ths were dominating and were playing some good football despite playing on the worse pitch so far this season. In the 2nd half the 7ths made some changes with the arrival of Sonny and Ciaran. The 7ths didn't settle straight away with the changes and conceded a early goal after a decent move by Alexandra Park. The 7ths then settled and started to create more chances with Mike Diebelius's pace causing the Alexandra Parks defence problems. Mike could of got his 2nd goal earlier but finally took his chance after being being put through one on one and coolly chipping over the rushing keeper. The final goal though was the goal of the game, Man of the Match Kemston Allen playing on the left wing beat the full back easily then whipped in a ball left footed to the far post where Callum Fitzgibbon looped a header back across which clipped the under side of the crossbar and went in. The game ended 6.2 and the 7ths progressed to the next round.
