Extra time needed to beakthrough

For Parms the match started out much like the weather. After conceding the first goal Adem hit back almost instantly after some good play with a low driven shot in to the corner of the net. Shortly before half-time Parms lost their captain to injury. The teams went in to the break at 1-1. After some reshuffling Ronnie found himself next to Carl taking Garys place at CB in the second half. Both players put in some excellent tackles however Parms conceded a 2nd goal after a quick counter from Old Woodhouseians. With it all to do Parms pressed with incredible energy and half way through the second half S.Bekir pushed the ball out of his feet and whipped the ball viciously in to the top right corner of the goal. Parms would then concede a 3rd goal almost identical to the 2nd. The game drew to a close and we needed a 3rd desperately. In the dying moments of the game a free kick was won just inside the oppositions half. Carl Staines floated a perfect ball in to the box which M.Morgan converted for Parms. The full time whistle went with the teams level. Extra time started and Parms found themselves 4-3 down after just a few seconds. A terrible start, however theres not a team that can match the will power and attitude of the 5th 11. After battling away it wasnt until the second part of extra time that Parms again pulled level. S.Bekir out of nothing picked the ball up on the edge of the box, turned his man and took it past a further 2 players before smashing it past the keeper. 4-4!! The game looked destined for penalties however S.Bekir and D.Farmer had other ideas. A.Bekir knocked the ball forward after a good run from S.Bekir. He took the ball down and crossed the ball for a tireless D.Farmer to knock in for Parms 5th. A truly nail biting contest for Colin Staines but what a sweet victory it was. On to the next round we go! Note: I'm still not sure how we came through this but the honesty and commitment on the pitch from these boys
