10 men perform heroics

Solid debuts from Tyrone, JC, Samuel, Rav and Abdi helped OPIV to win in the 1st rnd of the LOB Minor Cup despite the last minute withdrawal of 3 of the team and a then a fourth 30 minutes before KO. Parma took to the field with just 10 men against lower league opposition OM V. Despite the numerical disadvantage IVs raced into a 2 goal lead with 2 very composed finishes from first Kyri and then Tyrone. A diagonal ball over the top allowed OM a goal back despite having previously only threatened from distance. Next came an onset of OM pressure which drew two great saves from Samuel. Extra time the team revert to a 441 and are compact and disciplined, preventing any efforts of note from OM. Good on the right puts Tyrone in on goal where he finishes with absolute calmness to put Parma back ahead. The second 15 OM try to make more of a game of it and pepper the Parma goal. Twice Rav is the hero in clearing certain goal bound efforts off the line and twice OM waste good chances. However JC puts the game to rest with a well taken fi
