Harry Sach freekick wins it!

This was the one of the 7ths most toughest games against a big physical team. The 7ths didn't start well in the first half, Old Manorians pressed hard and stopped us from getting our passing game going. Old Manorians took the lead half way through the first half when the 7ths were unable to clear a corner and the Manorians captain drilled in low from just outside the box. Old Parms tried to get a goal back but Manorians continued to defend deep, clear any danger long and pressed and fouled whenever we did have the ball at our feet. The first half ended with the 7ths 1.0 down and not creating any real chances. In the 2nd half the 7ths upped their game and matched Manorians, pressing hard and winning the ball high up the pitch. The 7ths finally got a break through when the ball was played through to Elliott Joseph who made a run in to the box from deep, the ball ball kicked up at an awkward height but he managed to get his left foot over it and slot it past the keeper to make it 1.1. After this the 7ths were on top and with 10 minutes to go they won a freekick on the edge of the Manorians box. Harry Sach stepped up and curled the ball in to the far top corner! The keeper had no chance saving it and the 7ths were 2.1 up! The 7ths looked comfortable holding the lead and almost got another from a counter attack in the last few minutes but the game ended 2.1! It was a great game and really happy with the 2nd half performance by everyone. I normally don't give Team Man of the Matchs for competitive games but I think it has to be this week for the way we all stepped up in the 2nd half. 2 wins out of 2 and top of the league! Long way to go but lets keep it going.
