Strong showing in goal fest
After the disappointment of dropping two points the previous week and a less than good training night, the boys were more than keen to get matters right back on track. As it turned out I couldn't ask any more of them, their response was magnificent. With the Dard back in his rightful domain he got things going in the 11th minute with a fine shot from the left hand side of the penalty box into the far corner. This was swiftly followed a minute later with a superb ball down the line from the Farmer to the Dard who crossed for Sami to fire home. The game then went in to a bit of a lull until two minutes before half time when Sami picked up the ball twenty five yards out and crashed the ball home. A minute after half time a good cross by the Farmer to the Dard saw Sean double his tally. A further minute later brought an interchange of passes to secure the Dard's hat-trick. There was no stopping the Parms when in the 50th minute Mooro sent a ball into the Dard to bag his fourth. Further goals followed with skipper Gary Kirby heading home from a Scherer corner, then Mooro knocking a ball into Nutty Natty to waltz round three players and stroke the ball home, Mooro then got himself on the score sheet picking up a loose ball on the edge of the area and fired home and then in the 89th minute another corner from Scherer found the head of Dan Farmer who headed home superbly. Fine performances from Ronnie-O and Wimpy [who replaced Brendan who went off to play for the 2nd's] gave Jaymie a nice comfortable afternoon. With Luke Bedson giving another flawless performance backed up by a tireless Adem in mid-field a very rewarding afternoon's work saw Mikey making a cameo part in the dying minutes. A big thank you to Lloyd and Sam who also went off to play for the reserves
