Late show brings winner from Simon Wycliffe

A great win to put us back on track in the league and continue the climb up the league. The game started off great for us, with Shaun picking up on a loose ball and poking the ball beyond the keeper to put us 1-0 up after 5 minutes. However, Egbertian equalised from a free kick from the touchline, which was steered home following poor marking. The first half was a constant battle between both teams giving it their all. It ended with us having some great chances to punish Egbertian but wastefulness in front of goal and around the area were looking likely to keep this at a draw. The second half saw us grow into the game and play our football, working the ball around Egbertian with great play. A great chance fell to Shaun who worked himself a yard of space to flash a shot over the bar. With 5 minutes to go it seemed like ending all square. However a corner was driven to the near post. Bradley Fitzpatrick made a great run and headed it towards goal. It seemed to go over the line, however the ref did not give it. However the ball fell to Simon Wycliffe who poked the ball home, which led to wild celebrations in an important game. There was still time for Richard to make a top class save which guaranteed us the win in the dying seconds, pushing a curling shot over the bar. The ref blew the final whistle and Parms move up the league and look to continue a great 2014. Onwards and upwards, showing signs of building a great team for the next season.
