Tight one!

The first match in this double header for the 8ths was a close one. Early in the first half Ben Davidson made a couple of crucial saves to keep the score at 0.0. One in particular with the Leyton striker through one on one was really good and earned him the first Man of the Match award and also was really important in our win. The first half ended 0.0 with Old Parms 8ths having more possession but not creating too many chances. The break through came in the 2nd half with the 8ths best play. Juan Tenerio & Joe Massingham linked up well with a couple of quick passes which set Juan free in the box, the Leyton keeper came flying out and Juan drilled it in making it 1.0. The 8ths looked comfortable holding the lead and the back four of Ciaran, Sonny, Richard & Joe looked solid throughout. The game ended 1.0 and the 8ths got their first win versus the league leaders.
