Total domination! & into the semis

Being the first game back for our entire squad after what turned out to be a lengthy Christmas break for us, it was no surprise we were a bit slow out of the blocks and credit to the opposition they started well putting on some early pressure in the first 10 minutes on a difficult pitch. But after a blinding tackle from the pit bull S. Pryor on the edge of our area to dispossess their striker it was all about the Parms 6th XI. Passing, movement and passion suddenly improving all over the park and on the half hour mark we were rewarded for our efforts with another big challenge from midfield which resulted in the ball being put through for C. Heath to delicately chip over the keeper. Half time was quickly upon us and the order from the manager was to kill this tie off and as soon as the 2nd half whistle went it was all Parms again, long spells of possession and patient build up to really open up the Norseman defense and on the 55th minute C. Heath popped up again smashing one past the keeper from the edge of the area. After our 2nd goal a whole host of chance were created and went begging with everyone trying to get their name on the score sheet with everyone perhaps being a bit too selfless we knew we needed someone to just pop up and take a chance and on the 70th minute who else but the hat trick hero C. Heath after putting pressure on the Norseman Cb calmly took the ball on his own around what was left of their defense and the keeper to side foot it into an empty net sending us into the semi final!! The final 20 minutes was more pressure on the Norseman back line as C. Heath looked to turn provider for the players around him after smashing his effort for a 4th off of the crossbar and even the back line getting some shots in but with no luck. Well done to the entire squad every player put in a shift and it showed on the pitch, special mention to A. Spencer and B. Davies causing absolute havoc on your respective wings and being solid throughout.
