An Amazing Saturday!
Boys this is my first attempt at the match report and maybe my last... it wont be so much a report but more a journey. Because Boys we have been on such a journey this season..wow really? how awesome have we been? so sit back and read and enjoy. This report is different...Its 1976, It was an important year in the sporting calender. In 1976 a coach calle Dick Vermeil took over an NFL team called the Philledhelphia Eagles 1976 was a strange year for american football in most respects. For the Philly Eagles done something profound..They held an open tryout for everyone to attend.. Weather you were a Council Worker, a Builder, Office worker or even god forbid a Postman...All were welcome. They chose but 1 person from the hundreds off hopefuls that had given everything 2 the team that they loved n Supported through thick and thin who just wanted to give something back. Boys are we any different? what we have given up till now amazing! Out of the trials they chose 1 man Vince Papale a bar tender! He played like a guy who was handed his dream and how ever long it was going to last was not going to walk away and regret a second of it. In away he was very much like us. He got hit and got back up. He played with passion and pride. Always protecting his team mates and giving everything to his team. I suppose this sort of thinking got him through his game and made him one of the greatest players in NFL history! Were we any different Saturday? From front to back we had each others back! Wont lie we did not play the prettiest football but boy did we fight? They did not know what hit them! Guys on the pitch we all fight together, I pray that we never change that fact. We are all footballers and thats the way we are made. We cannot change who we are. All we can do is go with what we are and give everything that we have! We do that and i can see good things happening for us! Banter and togetherness and as put to me on sat a family! Love all u boys and respect everyone!
