Back to winning ways in the league!

The 8ths after 3 weeks worth of Cup games went back to winning ways in the league with a good performance and a 5.2 victory over Southgate County. Parms started strongly and took the lead early on when Ryan Franklin poked in Harry Sach's corner. Harry Sach then got his first goal of the game after great work on the right by Mike Diebelius (Right footed Bale). Mike got the ball near the half way line turning one defender sending him on his backside then sprinted past 2 more defenders heading towards the byline, cutting the ball back for Harry Sach to slot in. Great goal! The 8ths however switched off after this strong start and conceded 2 goals from Southgates only 2 attacks of the first half. The first half ended 2.2 when it could of been more comfortable. In the second half the 8ths started strongly again. Juan Tenerio who came on towards the end of the 1st half looked dangerous on the left and got a deserved goal which saw the 8ths regain the lead and also assisted for Harry Sach's 2nd goal of the game. Mike Diebelius came back on the right to assist again with a good ball in which Ryan Franklin turned in to make it 5.2. The Parms looked comfortable and dangerous on the attack and could of added a couple more from the penalty spot but 5.2 was enough for today. Well done everyone for a good team performance and getting the win to move us up to 3rd. Two Man of the Match's today are Archie Bostock who filled in at left back, looked solid and supported the attack well on the left hand side and Francis Conlan on his return to the team linked up well in the middle and supported the defence covering back on Southgates attacks. Special mention today is for the The Parms 8ths Ultras (see below) who make it an intimidating atmosphere for any away team. Next week we have Old Woodhouseians who beat us 1st game of the season!
