Vets army marches on!

Another good win for old boys. Probably played some of our best football of the season to beat a team of young 'uns. First goal was a brilliant marauding run by Saunders from the back, with a couple of neat passes, back to Saunders and into the back of the net. Jon Walsh scores a deserved goal for all his hard work from a couple of yards out from a cross/shot by Ken. Lee scores our third with a brilliant shot from an acute angle, when it looked like all he could do was cross. Scoring was finished off by a lovely goal by Ken. The opposition got two goals from mistakes we made. First was a free kick where players (Tony Two) didn't follow in with player he was marking. Steve palmed the ball out and it fell straight to the players feet and he scored. For their second goal we just didn't close their players down quick enough and they found the net. A special mention to Billy O'Dea, who at 57yrs old gets MoM. Overall a good win to keep us in the cup and the vampire slayers stake their place in the next round.
