Wind Rain and Sun

Starting slightly down hill with the strong winds against us we set up in normal formation trying to make the best of maybe a slight disadvantage, not making too many chances attacking but defending them off til half time when we could then take advantage of the weather. Sam Baptiste had a chance early on with a run through on goal but some good defending by the home side kept it level. Charlie Heath went through one on one with the keeper with baptiste to the side of him choose to go for goal and just put it wide of the post. A penalty shout when Charlie Heath got taken out but ref said play on. Half time 0-0 making 3 substitutions and heading back onto the pitch the rain and wind let off and saw some sun between the clouds, now we just had to play our football the way we usually do without the weather giving us that extra bit. Cai Dolan getting his first cup goal with a lovely bit of poaching at the back post. Man of the match Tom Mullaney put in a strong performance in holding mid clearing up most balls and what ever was left was calmly picked up by Jack Gooding and the keeper who had a great game very vocal to everyone and owned his box. Shaffy Shakur scoring a great 30 yard volley on the turn putting it in between the keepers legs. Through to the next round lets keep it up !!
