Dominated game for the full 90

The 8ths started the game with a player extra and made this count by dominating from start to finish. The first half finished 7.0 after goals from R.Franklin, G.Maskell, M.Diebelius, T.Blue, J.Massingham, H.Sach and E.Joseph forced an own goal by putting in a dangerous low cross which the defence could only turn in their own net. The highlights of the first half were the El and Tel connection linking up for captains T.Blue’s first goal for Old Parms and J.Massingham’s bullet header and Shearer celebration after a well worked short corner. In the second half the 8ths continued to dominate and added a further 6 goals. The goals came from Keeper B.Davidson scoring his first goal for Old Parms from the penalty spot, C.Foster who had a spell playing centre midfield got his first goal for the club, M.Diebelius added his second playing centre forward for the last 20 minutes, E.Joseph got a deserved goal after a quality strike smashed against the cross bar in the first half and finally G.Maskell completed his hattrick right before the final whistle. Highlights of the game were the 13 goals from 9 different goal scorers, 3 players got their first ever goal for the club, A.Warry who usually never leaves his half got an assist! And G.Maskell’s first hattrick for Old Parmiterians! Despite the scoreline and the 10’s having a man less the game was played in good spirit between the two Old Parmiterian clubs, good luck to them in the rest of their cup competitions!
