First league win of the season!

The 8ths produced another great team performance and came away with their first 3 points of the season. After a shaky first 10 minutes coping with Old Kings long ball style the 8ths quickly adjusted and started to dominate all over the pitch. Kings had a couple of chances in the first 10 minutes to take the lead but a couple of last ditch tackles and a couple more top saves by B.Davidson kept the score at 0.0. After this the 8ths settled with back four of C.Foster, A.Warry, S.Baldwin and J.Massingham dropping a little deeper and covering each other well. The 8ths then started to play their game, the El and Tel connection (E.Joseph & T.Blue) bossed the midfield and spread the ball well to the wings where the 8ths done most of their damage with M.Diebelius and J.Tenerio's non stop running. G.Maskell playing behind the striker constantly was picking up the ball in space in between the Old Kings defence and midfield and supported the striker well. The 8ths made it 3.0 before halftime with 2 well taken goals by R.Franklin and a classy toe punt in the top corner by G.Maskell. In the 2nd half the 8ths had the game under control. A.Bostock came on at half time and gave fresh legs on the wing, also giving a lot of support tracking back. 2 more goals came in the 2nd half through R.Franklin and G.Maskell before Old Kings grabbed a consolation in the last 5 mins. Man of the Match: R.Franklin who scored 3 and assisted 1 while on the floor. Look how happy he is haha
