Looking strong for the season

As with the week before we started slow and absorbed the pressure for 20 mins until we started to push on. We looked dangerous going forward and it wasn’t long before we started to find the net. The opposition were a strong side mainly made up of ex semi pros and gave us a hard fought game. Our response was confident and once we started to get a grip of the game controlled large parts of it. With Darren and Rob up front and Dee supporting we look formidable, Mat and Duncan still need to cement their partnership in midfield but initial signs are good. The two centre backs (Rob Pearl and Gino) have already gelled and look like a solid paring for the season. Joe Coogan was his usual reliable self. Muffy looks to be a good addition out wide and it was good to see Gregg get a 20 minute cameo, with four or five to come back in our squad is looking good for the start of the season. All 13 this week played well and gave 100%. Mention of a super strike from Muffy and another hattrick from Darren. Great stuff.
