We scraped a win
On a night when we seven players missing through work or injury we had to call on players from other teams and thanks to francis we got some.Most of them were good quality and i thank them all but they didn't know the way we played and we didn't know their strengths so overall it probably added up to our worst team performance,which wasn't helped by the fact that egbertians come with a strong team and a stronger will to win .Over the whole game they were better than us in all departments and they took an early lead after about ten minutes.Every time we got the ball we were hounded down and rushed and it was only after 65 minutes that we got an equaliser through s.lewis the game then got really scrappy with both teams playing more direct.But it was us that got a dodgy decision with a penalty which the oppo delayed us taking it for it seemed like 10 minutes but sean put the ball down and bobbled it into the goal.Then it was all hands on deck as they put on the pressure at one stage they had about 5 or 6 corners on the trot so my nerves and nails were at an end then thankfully we grabbed another goal through sean actually getting a shot on target the oppo then totally lost their discipline and the game was over.Not much football today but a good result.
