So we where in a round robin tournament against the 5ths then the 9ths on a very hot day but could not ask for a better pre season fitness game. Ok we played against the 5ths in the first game which we had a few players out. I told the boys cut their wing play out get them frustrated and they will start playing long balls. First 20 minutes we should at least been 3 or 4 goals up but could not hit the target and the team where working well and battling as a unit. The defence was solid and our wingers where doing their jobs what was asked and we went in at half time 0 0. 2nd half was bit more even as I made some changes to let the boys have some rest and yet again a long ball dow the left saw Dmarv run in behind the defence and make it 1 0 to the 5ths. Still playing good football and a change saw Dicey come on for the last 10 mins to give the striker a rest for the next game and James from defence slotted the ball passed 2 of the 5ths defence and Dicey makes it 1 1. A well earned draw but we deserved the win but with the 5ths they are a very good team so happy with the draw and happy with the team performance. Moral went as time was ticking on and Arsenal vs Liverpool was getting even closer. Told lads keep focused and just play and we leave straight away yet again played some good football but you can see the blokes had enough and just wanted to go e ded up 4 1 winners. Good tournament and a very good performance especially missing 3 or 4 players. MOTM Trialist Daryl at CB who will hopefully be signing this week.
