OPFC send team to play School for 3G opening

Led by our President Brian Robinson the club sent a team managed by Colin Staines to play the School 1st team to officially mark the opening of the 3G surface at Parmiters School in Garston.

The team was sprinkled with many OPs including Colin Staines, Paul Mitchell, Tommy Walsh, John Cowen & Keith Sharp. Also include were the sons Carl & Chris Staines, Conor & Sam Mitchell, Jonjo Walsh and Archie Robinson, grandson of Brian Robinson. Chairman of Governors, Alper Mehmet had his two nephews Adem and Sami Bekir playing too so it was a truly Parmiters day.

The School provided a BBQ and refreshments for the supporters for which we thank them. Hopefully this fixture can become an annual event. The Thomas Parmiter trophy for which the game was played for was presented to the School 1st team as winners of the game 8-5.
